Can heat from a defective powerbook battery ruin my logic board?
August 27, 2010, 12:59 amI recently had a perfectly functioning powerbook g4 12" apple laptop. About 3 months ago, I purchased a new battery, which ended up being one of the batteries that was recalled. I had noticed the battery was warmer than my old battery, but thought nothing of it. About a week ago, all the sudden, my computer froze (gasp!). This had never happened before, but when I tried to start it up, the computer was dead, and couldn't read the hard drive. About two days later, the battery recall notice hit the news. I sent for my new battery, which is on the way. Could this logic board failure be the fault of a defective battery? If so, would apple replace it for free? -

Will my old powermac g4 ram work on a imac g5 (isight)?
